At Ottesen Running Club, our mission is to help individuals achieve their running goals through personalized training programs and nutritional guidance. We believe that running should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their fitness level or experience.

We use the Jack Daniel's Running Formula to customize the perfect plan for you based on your current fitness level. Having a dedicated coach to guide you and keep you accountable makes all the difference in the sport of running. You don't need to do it alone! Over the summer, Coach Ty runs a weekly meet-up for High School (or any local to Newburgh, NY) long distance runners (800m+) to hone in on their running abilities. Every athlete deserves a chance to improve, off-season training puts you ahead of the pack.
Coach Ty
Dr. Tyler Ottesen is from the town of Puyallup, located in the beautiful state of Washington. He grew up with a passion for fitness and health. He has a history of competitive running and was also an Eagle Scout. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. This is where he met
Dr. Tyler Ottesen is from the town of Puyallup, located in the beautiful state of Washington. He grew up with a passion for fitness and health. He has a history of competitive running and was also an Eagle Scout. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. This is where he met his wife, Ashley. Together, they have two fun children that they love and laugh with daily.
Coach Ty is a level 1 certified running coach with the RRCA. He is a nerd for learning about all things running. He fell in love with the sport by racing the 800m with a personal best of 1:56. He now continues to do the occasional 5k to keep his legs turning.
Dr. Ty received his Doctorate in Chiropractic from Parker University in Dallas, Texas. While in school, he trained in a variety of chiropractic techniques, but his main focus was in Torque Release Technique (TRT). Because of his passion for TRT, Dr. Ty was a leader of his school’s TRT club and became advanced certified and proficient in
Dr. Ty received his Doctorate in Chiropractic from Parker University in Dallas, Texas. While in school, he trained in a variety of chiropractic techniques, but his main focus was in Torque Release Technique (TRT). Because of his passion for TRT, Dr. Ty was a leader of his school’s TRT club and became advanced certified and proficient in this technique. He helps athlete's daily with a balanced nervous system and spine for optimal performance especially in running.
Coach Ty is also a Certified Doctor of Chiropractic on top of being a running coach. He is located at Innate Chiropractic in Newburgh.
